Jennifer Seefeldt

Dr. Jennifer Seefeldt is a trained biochemist who studied (molecular) biology at the Georg August University in Göttingen. She obtained her Dr. rer. nat. at the Max Planck Institute for biophysical chemistry in Göttingen, where she focused on eukaryotic translation initiation and implementation of novel tools for efficient and robust protein purification.

 

In 2015, she joined Boehringer Ingelheim Pharma GmbH & Co. KG in Biberach, Germany as Product Coordinator Analytics in the Quality Control Unit. Since March 2017, she works as Associate Director in Quality Control Clinical Supply and Transfer, leading a laboratory responsible for method development and release testing for novel biopharmaceuticals starting from clinical phase I until launch of the commercial product.

 

 


Working at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharma – an insight view into a Quality Control Unit

During her talk, she will give a brief overview on Boehringer Ingelheim company structure but mainly focus on guiding you through her daily life working business not only within the Quality Control Unit but also within biopharmaceutical contract manufacturing business.

 

Her goal is to dispel the prejudice that Quality Control is “boring” or “routine only” - a comment she made herself not too many years ago.  Let’s see if she succeeds.
